Rudament (Ron Mendez-Mcfarland) was born May 15, 1984 in Boston, Massachusetts and was raised in Philadelphia, PA. He began his career as a multi-instrumentalist, playing at clubs and churches throughout Boston and Philadelphia before moving on to D.J. parties alongside his father. Rudament quickly earned himself a spot playing drums at the Avelinas Nightclub on South Street. As a member of Philadelphia’s “Live Tracks Multimedia Inc.” he learned the fundamentals of running a production studio and at the age of sixteen decided to become a Music Producer.
In 2007 Rudament moved to Boston to found Rudament Music Company where he now works around the clock as both its producer and voice coach. Since founding Rudament Music Company, Rudament has made a name for himself producing tracks for many up-and-coming artists from all over the world and has built a reputation for delivering quality music through production services.
Rudament developed his vocal training routines while studying with certified voice coaches in Philadelphia and continues to create new and improved exercises. Working with artists from all backgrounds and cultures, Rudament has made a name for himself improving the vocal skills of singers, rappers, poets, and public speakers.
Rudament Music Company is growing fast. It has placed two of its clients on the radio with the singles “800lbs Gorilla” and “BOOM”. Topping out at #4 on the National College Radio Rap Music Charts, “BOOM” earned more than 10,000 plays in under a week and has garnered airtime on college radio stations across the country. In 2000 Rudament created the music for Trinidad’s #1 hit song “I Know” which stayed at the top of the charts for two weeks.
Rudament produced the music for Motor Mind Focus Drink’s commercial which reached 22,000 views on YouTube within one week of posting. Rudament’s work has earned him three 2010 Urban Music Award Nominations for Best Music Producer, Best Male Promoter, and Best Company.
Rudament has submitted music to several well-known artists in the music industry and has been compared to music producing legends Timbaland, Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, Herbie Hancock, and Alicia Keys. Rudament is on a mission to deliver quality music to quality people by providing sound artist development, stellar music production, and versatile song writing. Above all, Rudament constantly strives to create music that betters the world.
Recently, Rudament is now working out of the legendary Milk Boy Studio by appointment and willing to travel/collaborate with Artists from anywhere in the world.
